The Delmar Improvement Association Board of Directors (BOD) consists of Delmar residents in good standing, whose terms of office shall be staggered, so four(4) Directors shall be elected each year to a three (3) year term. As its main purpose, the DIA BOD shall have the authority to conduct the necessary daily affairs of the Association in accordance with the bylaws.
Within the BOD, the Executive Committee is composed of a President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary. Duties of these positions may be delegated, such as the role of Treasurer to a contracted auditor who is overseen by the executive committee. These volunteers serve this community with the best interest of Delmar as their agenda. The BOD submits a budget in March based on suggestions from previous annual meetings and then is reviewed in the annual meeting.
