Beach & Watercraft Information

On or around March 1st. You will be mailed an assessment form that will include boat launch fees and transmitter application. 

On the back of your homeowner’s assessment is a launching application form. The annual launching fee is $30.00 and should be paid with your assessment fee. The association maintains a list of those residents who pay the launch fee on an annual basis.

In 2019 we installed an electric gate/boom barrier midway down the boat launch. This is activated by a remote control transmitter, similar to a garage door opener giving access up and down the launch pad to resident boats. The transmitter is limited to two per property owner. These transmitters are owned by you, cannot be transferred ownership, and are maintained and activated on an annual basis. They are not refundable if returned.

The annual launch fee is $30.00 annually and should be paid with your assessment fee. Replacement transmitters can be purchased for $30.00 if lost, plus a $4.00 shipping fee.

In the event that your assessment is NOT paid for the current year, the transmitting device will be deactivated, until your assessment is paid. 

Basic Beach and Launch Guidelines:

• Curfew at the beach is 11:00 p.m.
• Pets are not allowed in or on the beach park or sand. Pets are allowed for the purpose of access to watercraft on the boat launch area, stairs and pier. Pets should be leashed while in the beach property area. If non-compliant, the pet and owner may be asked by DIA to vacate the beach property immediately.
• The beach property should be clear of rubbish and trash. No open fires or cooking grills are allowed.
• Delmar Beach landscape and maintenance shall be conducted weekly or as necessary to ensure a manicured and presentable appearance.
• No beverages in glass containers allowed. All beverages must be consumed responsibly, and all containers disposed of properly. If non-compliant the Delmar resident member/guest will be required by DIA to vacate the beach property immediately.
• Bicycles should be parked at the bike stand provided.
• For everyone’s safety, all vehicles must enter and leave the parking lot at 5 MPH. Pedestrians always have the right of way.
• The beach parking lot area shall be used by Delmar residents in good standing with a limit
  of one parked motorized vehicle per tax key lot. Vehicles are limited to a maximum of 8 hours per day. Vehicles shall not be parked at the beach parking lot overnight after 11 pm. Any motorized vehicle in the lot not displaying a current valid Delmar resident member
  pass or decal furnished by DIA, and in accordance with the laws of the State of Wisconsin, shall be subject to removal by DIA as posted and at the expense of the vehicle’s owner.
• Parking trailers in the parking lot is prohibited. Trailers may be removed by an outside contractor.
• With the exception of accessing Delavan Lake waters and/or ice, and excluding golf carts, motorized vehicles shall not go beyond the parking lot area. Any vehicle doing so will be required by DIA to vacate the beach property or be removed by an outside contractor as posted at the owner’s expense.
• Swimmers have the right of way inside the swim area which is defined as the area between the sand and pier. Swimmers shall neither play, dress, nor trespass in or around boats which are legally tied, buoyed at the Delmar pier. Swimmers shall promptly access the swim platform outside the pier and shall give the right of way to watercraft accessing the pier due to safety concerns related to boaters seeing the swimmers.
• The boat ramp must be kept clear at all times. Any watercraft, trailers, or vehicles blocking the ramp are subject to removal by DIA at the owner’s expense. Boats and trailers removed may be impounded by an outside contractor as posted by DIA.
• Temporary mooring of watercraft at Delmar pier shall be limited to twenty (20) minutes, to allow for all residents to use the pier efficiently and safely. Watercraft must be secured properly utilizing protective measures to prevent damage to watercraft and/or pier. If non-compliant, watercraft and owners may be required by DIA to vacate the beach property.
• Watercraft, trailers, and vehicles accessing the boat launch and pier have priority to enter and/or leave Delavan Lake waters. All watercraft must be launched and/or trailered promptly. Power loading and launching of watercraft on and off trailers is strictly prohibited by the DIA. Failure to comply may result in loss of Delmar resident member boat launch privileges.
• All watercraft moored at the pier are considered private property. Any person tampering with such watercraft is guilty of trespassing on private property and may be required by DIA to vacate the beach property.
• Vehicles blocking the ramp are subject to removal by DIA at the owner’s expense. Boats and trailers removed may be impounded by an outside contractor as posted by DIA.
• Delmar resident members and guests shall abide by Wisconsin’s Clean Boats, Clean

Waters Program.
● Violation of the above laws subject to prosecution as provided by Wisconsin State Law as
vested in the “DIA by the Delmar Corporation Charter.
